The hillside of La Livinière
Pebbled top soil, with a high percentage of clay and limestone, rich in manganese. Exceptional “terroir” due to the nature of its soils and its exposure (terraced vineyard at 200m in altitude, facing south and sheltered from northwinds).
30% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 40% Carignan
100% mechanical harvest with and a part mechanical, alcoholic fermen-tation with vatting of 10 days, maturing in tank for 15 to 18 months.
Beautiful color, deep and honest. Nose straight and precise, with notes of black fruit and licorice. The palate is dense with silky smooth tannins. Final elegant with notes of liquorice and slightly spicy.
Grilled red meat or in sauce, pasts, salads, cheese.
